Speaking Challenge Game for Students
Give students a reason to speak up, a safe space to do it, and a game that makes them want to keep going.

What makes it a challenge?
Most students know they need to get better at speaking up — in class, at networking events, in job interviews. But telling a student to 'just practice' doesn't work. Without a structured, low-stakes environment to actually do it, the anxiety stays and the skill never develops.
Fear of Saying the Wrong Thing
Students avoid speaking up because they're terrified of embarrassing themselves. A speaking challenge game for students removes that pressure by wrapping the practice in a game format — so there's no such thing as a wrong answer, just a next challenge.
No Real Practice Opportunities
Classroom presentations aren't the same as real-world communication. Students need low-stakes, conversational practice with actual people — not a script in front of a grading rubric.
Workshops That Don't Stick
One-off speaking workshops give students theory but not practice. Without repeated, in-the-moment challenges, communication skills don't actually develop — they just get talked about.

Why Teachers, Student Affairs Coordinators & Campus Event Organizers Use Jam Bingo
The speaking challenge game for students that turns anxiety into confidence — one real conversation at a time.
Real Practice, Not Role Play
Students complete speaking challenges with actual people in the room — not in a simulated exercise. Every conversation is a genuine interaction that builds real-world communication skills.
Safe Enough to Try, Challenging Enough to Grow
The game format lowers the stakes just enough for anxious students to participate, while the progressive challenges keep pushing them just outside their comfort zone — which is exactly where confidence gets built.
Works for Every Student
Whether your students are naturally outgoing or seriously introverted, the speaking challenge game format meets them where they are. Everyone starts with the same first challenge and builds from there at their own pace.
How to Run a Speaking Challenge Game for Students With Jam Bingo
Four simple steps: Speaking Challenge Game for Students!
Write your speaking challenges
Think about the real communication skills your students need to build. Great challenges might include: 'Find someone from a different program and ask them what surprised them most about university so far' or 'Approach someone you don't know and give them a genuine compliment about something non-appearance-related.' Start approachable, then get progressively bolder.
Build your Jam Bingo speaking game
Add your custom speaking challenges to Jam Bingo, or start from a student communication template and make it your own. Each challenge unlocks the next as students complete real conversations — keeping momentum going throughout your event or class session.
Launch at your event or class
Display the Jam Bingo QR code on a screen, handout, or classroom board. Introduce the speaking challenge game to students with a quick explanation — it takes about 60 seconds to get everyone going.
Students speak, connect, and build confidence
Students scan in, get their first speaking challenge, and go find someone to complete it with. Each real conversation unlocks the next challenge — and by the end of the session, even your most hesitant students have spoken to five people they didn't know before.
