We hosted a tradeshow-like fair for folks in the tech community to meet with 10 local startups, and most of our exhibitors had prior experience doing a tradeshow-like event.
At some fairs, most attendees are naturally drawn to the top 2 - 3 booths, and having leveraged personal relationships to get these startups to attend, we wanted to make sure that all the booths were well visited.
